DAY 1 | The Inner Circle Begins

  • Get to know the Winter 2026 Inner Circle Cohort over lunch at 12 Vestry before the excitement begins.

  • Setting the stage for candid conversations, problem-solving, and bold ideas. Over the next two days, you’ll challenge conventional thinking, identify real solutions, and forge lasting connections that will move the industry forward.

  • This session is a forward-looking fireside on how hospitality leaders design, test, and scale experiences and what multifamily can borrow (and rethink) over the next decade. 

    Through a candid conversation between Aliya Khan of Marriott International and Dan Ryan, host of Defining Hospitality the discussion reframes “experience” as a system spanning design, service, operations, and experimentation, not just physical space. The goal is to leave the room energized with practical mental models and provocative ideas that carry into the rest of the event and set up deeper collaboration on what multifamily could look like by 2036.

  • Pre-selected Circle Members will share unfiltered, behind-the-scenes problems they're tackling today and collectively use the power of the Inner Circle to help come up with innovative solutions.

    This session sparks candid dialogue and real-world problem-solving.

  • Hear from Stephanie once again, as she describes what the group will tackle on Day Two.

DAY 2 | Designing the Future

  • A relaxed morning to reset before diving into the day’s work.

  • After a short welcome statement by our moderator, we'll kick off the day with the Inner Circle's iconic Fishbowl Session.

    For those new to the Inner Circle, three hot seats are placed in the middle of the living room.

    Stephanie prompts the group with a controversial statement and participants rotate through the hot seats, building and dismantling each statement.

  • The group will be split into three, each presented with a different case study from the hospitality industry.

    Each group will review and decide what multifamily should borrow, blend, or break.

  • Break

  • You'll be split into three new groups with the task to write a press release describing your 2036 multifamily operating model for your made-up futuristic property management company. 

    This is modeled after Amazon’s working backward style.

  • Lunch Break

  • Continue designing your multifamily operating model of 2036.

  • Each group will have an opportunity to present their press release followed by a group discussion.

  • We'll finish day two with a mystery workshop (more details to come!) Followed by closing remarks from our moderator and plans for the Inner Circle for the rest of 2026.
